Erasmus+
Erasmus+ offers OLS tool, which is explained to all the students during the presentation of the course. After that explanation, two talks are given to outgoing students to explain the advantages and uses of the tool.
Kardala LHII gives English as a compulsory module (60 hours). Besides, according to the internationalization and modernization strategy of Kardala LHII, the institution is taking part in the multilingual project launched by the Department of Education of the Basque Govern a result of which two modules are taught in English in order to get involved the student in the globalized internationalization market. To take part in this project the students need to prove at least a B1 level in English. Before the course starts, the applicants have to pass an English exam provided by the Education department of the Basque Govern.
In order to enhance the language capacity of the Erasmus and non-Erasmus students and staff, Kardala LHII offers during the course extra English courses (200 hours). If there is a number of students interested in receiving other language courses (French, Italian, etc.) the directory discuss the situation and if approved offers such a courses. All this courses are free for the students and staff.

KA1: Learning movility of individuals
The Erasmus+ Programme reinforces the support offered to the participants of mobility activities in improving their foreign language competences before and during their stay abroad, including reinforced linguistic support grant for participants in long term mobility in VET. An Erasmus+ Online Language Support (OLS) servicep rovides the participants in mobility activities with the opportunity to assess their knowledge of languages as well as to follow online language courses to improve their competences.
Furthermore, Erasmus+ offers space for developing mobility activities that involve partner organisations with different backgrounds and are active in different fields or socio-economic sectors(e.g. trainees hips of university students or VET learners in enterprises, NGOs, public bodies; teachers in schools following professional development courses in companies or training centres; business experts giving lectures or training in higher education institutions, etc.).
As regards pupils, students, trainees, apprentices, adult learners and young people, the mobility activities supported under this Key Action are meant to produce one or more of the following out comes:
• improved learning performance
• enhanced employ ability and improved career prospects
• increased sense of initiative and entrepreneur ship
• increased self-empowerment and self-esteem
• improvedf oreign language and digital competences
• enhanced intercultural awareness
• more active participation in society
• enhanced positive interactions with people from different backgrounds
• better awareness of the European project and the EU values
• increased motivation for taking part in future (formal/non-formal) education or training after the mobility period abroad

KA2: Cooperation among organisations and institutions
This Key Action supports:
• Partner ships for Cooperation, including Cooperation Partnerships and Small-scale Partnerships
• Partner ships for Innovation, including Alliances and Forward-looking projects
• Capacity Building projects in the fields of higher education, vocational education and training, youth and sport
• Not-for-profit European sport events
The Action ssupported under this Key Action are expected to contributes ignificantly to the priorities of the programme, to bring positive and long-last ingeffect son the participating organisations, on the policy systems in which such Actions are framed as well as on the organisations and persons directly or indirectly involved in the organised activities.
This Key Action is expected to result in the development, transfer and/or implementation of innovative practices at organisational, local, regional, national or European levels.
For the participating organisations, projects supported under this Key Action are intended to produce the following out comes:
• Innovative approaches for addressing their target groups, by providing for example:
– More attractive education and training programmes, in line with individual needs and expectations
– Use of participatory approaches and digital methodologies; new or improved processes of recognition and validation of competences
– More effective ways of teaching and learning basic skills, with specific focus on preventing underachievement among disadvantaged students, as well as boosting top performance in basic skills
• A more modern, dynamic, committed and professional environment inside the organisation:
– Ready to integrate good practices and new methods including digital capabilities into daily activities
– Open to synergies with organisations active in different fields or in other socio-economic sectors
• Increased capacity and professionalism to work at EU/international level:
– Improved management competences and internationalisation strategies
– Reinforced cooperation with partners from other countries, other fields of education, training and youth and/orother socio-economic sectors
• increased knowledge and awareness regarding sport and physical activity
• increased awareness of the role of sport in promoting social inclusion, equal opportunities and a healthy life style
